Recognizing the need for nonprofits and jobseekers to receive more direct support in connecting with each other, James Weinberg founded Commongood Careers, a national nonprofit search firm dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs with their hiring needs at every organizational level, providing resources for socially driven jobseekers, and addressing talent-related issues throughout the sector. Previously, James served as National Development Director at BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life), where over three years he helped the organization to grow from a $4 million to a $15 million budget and expand service levels from 1,500 to 6,000 children nationally. Prior to this, James served as the Executive Director of the Homeless Children’s Education Fund, where he worked to ensure that children who are homeless have equal access to the same educational opportunities and experiences as their peers. Prior to joining Commongood Careers, Allyson worked in the legal field as a paralegal and trial preparation assistant before transitioning her career into the nonprofit sector. Most recently, Allyson worked as a Program Associate for Families First Parenting Programs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families. While at Families First, Allyson helped bring parenting and professional trainings to numerous nonprofits throughout greater Boston and was asked to serve as a community representative on Boston Public Schools hiring committee. In her role as Operations Manager, Rachel draws on five years of experience in project management. As an archaeological technician with the National Park Service, Rachel worked to protect such historic sites as the Minuteman National Historical Park, Acadia National Park, Women’s Right’s National Historic Park in Seneca Falls, NY and the home of Franklin Roosevelt.
